Summary
Northstrat is seeking a person who shows initiative to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with engineers who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital signal processing solutions in support to our customers. The individual must be able to work under minimal supervision and on small project teams to conceive, analyze, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software-based solutions for modern communication systems. Implementation includes algorithm development for video and imaging processing, among other advanced digital signal processing algorithms. All algorithms will be implemented in a software baseline used in portable systems. The position will allow for direct interaction with end users and customers.

Expertise in advanced Linux kernel programming
Expertise in C/C++ and embedded programming
Expertise in RTP/RTSP/UDP/TCP/IP protocols
Expertise in industry standard HD codecs H.264, H.265, MPEG, AVI
Expertise in architecting and designing software
Desired Skills
General systems engineering skills including capture/tradeoff analysis/architecture and design/system integration and testing
